New Tool to Check Fuel Availability - PumpRadar

In light of the current fuel situation and rising gasoline demand, many drivers have recently faced the frustration of searching from station to station, often without success, with some even risking running out of fuel mid-journey.

To help address this, “PumpRadar,” has been launched, a community driven platform that provides real-time updates on fuel station availability.

PumpRadar allows users to view nearby stations on a map, check which ones still have fuel, and report live status to help others. It also offers an overview of the broader energy situation nationwide. The system is powered by user-generated data combined with fuel station points of interest from OpenStreetMap, and users can also add new stations to improve coverage.

Users can access the platform at http://thaipumpradar.com and are encouraged to report stations that are out of fuel to help others avoid unnecessary travel. By sharing real-time information, the platform helps reduce fuel waste and supports better coordination during this challenging time.

Escape Bangkok's relentless heat under a canopy of pink tabebuia blooms

Thailand’s hot season isn’t just about relentless heat—it also unveils one of Bangkok’s most beautiful natural spectacles, and it’s happening right now. Throughout this month, tabebuia trees burst into bloom across the city, transforming sweltering 35-degree days into something unexpectedly magical.

Highlight of the Season

  • The Best View: Head to Wachirabenchathat Park (Rotfai Park), where the tabebuia trees are currently in full bloom.
  • A Striking Transformation: These trees shed every leaf before flowering, leaving behind branches completely covered in dense clusters of soft pink blossoms.
  • A Local "Sakura": The result is breathtaking and often compared to Japan’s famous cherry blossoms, but enjoyed right in the heart of Bangkok.

A Fleeting Moment

  • Short Duration: This floral display typically lasts just one to two weeks before the petals begin to fall.
  • Weather Dependent: Its intensity and duration depend on the weather; slightly cooler conditions help the colors stay vibrant for longer.

Pro-Tips for Visitors

  • Best Photo Spots: Make your way to the park’s cycle paths and open lawns, where the blooms are most abundant.
  • The Golden Hour: Early morning is ideal, when the light is soft and the crowds are still thin.

Don't miss this unforgettable moment that makes Bangkok’s hot season feel a little more special!

Squash Shoes (Key Features & Recommendations)

Squash involves rapid movements, sudden stops, and quick changes of direction. Choosing the right footwear is crucial for performance and injury prevention.

Key Features of Squash Shoes:

  • Non-marking Gum Rubber Outsole: Provides excellent grip on wooden courts without leaving marks.
  • Cushioning: High-impact support in the heel and forefoot to protect joints during intense play.
  • Lateral Stability: Reinforced sides to prevent ankle rolls during side-to-side movements.
  • Breathability & Lightweight: Keeps you agile and prevents heat buildup.

Important Tips:

  • Avoid Running Shoes: They lack the lateral support needed for squash and may cause injury.
  • Badminton Shoes: These are a good alternative for beginners as they also use gum rubber soles.

Friendly Reminder on Swimming Pool Policy

For the comfort, safety, and well-being of all residents, pets are not permitted in the swimming pool. This policy is implemented with consideration for hygiene, safety, and the shared enjoyment of the facilities. Key reasons include:

1. Hygiene and Water Quality

  • Pets may unintentionally introduce bacteria, germs, or parasites into the water.
  • Fur and dander can affect water cleanliness and place additional strain on the pool’s filtration system.
  • In rare cases, accidental waste may pose health concerns for other users.

2. Safety for Both Residents and Pets

  • Pool chemicals, such as chlorine, may cause irritation to pets’ skin, eyes, and ears, and swallowing pool water can be harmful to their health.
  • Pets may feel anxious in a pool environment, which could lead to unpredictable behavior and unintentionally affect other swimmers.
  • Not all pets are natural swimmers, and there may be a risk of injury or distress without close supervision.

3. Maintenance of Facilities

  • Pet claws may cause damage to pool surfaces or surrounding areas over time.

Exception – Service Animals
Certified service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable guidelines. However, for hygiene and public health reasons, service animals are generally allowed in poolside and surrounding areas only, and are not permitted in the swimming pool itself.

Kindly present appropriate certification or supporting documentation to the staff for verification, where applicable.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping maintain a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for everyone.
