Fundraising Cycling Club bike event

Join a meaningful charity ride on 25 April 2026 at the ISB Campus, Nonthaburi, set in the heart of the tropical scenery of Nichada Thani. Registration begins at 7:15 AM, with the ride taking place from 8:00 to 9:00 AM.

Organized by ISB’s Cycling Club, this one-hour event invites approximately 50 participants to cycle laps around Nichada Lake, collecting pledges per lap to raise funds for TMRD, a non-profit organization that designs and provides prosthetics for disabled dogs.

The route will start near the Panther area on campus and loop around the lake, with volunteers stationed along the route to record laps and ensure smooth coordination. Safety is a top priority, with supervision by ISB faculty and clear guidelines provided to all riders.

Scan the QR code to register and be part of this inspiring initiative—ride with purpose and help give dogs the chance to walk again.

Enhancing Home Comfort with Smarter AC Usage

Let’s be honest most of us grab the remote, press ON, set a very low temperature… and that’s it. But your air conditioner (especially systems like Daikin) is designed to work smarter than that. Different modes serve different purposes, and using the wrong one can affect both your comfort and your electricity bill.

Choosing the Right Mode

  • Cool Mode: Your go-to setting for maintaining a consistent, comfortable temperature.
  • Dry Mode: Best for rainy or humid days. It removes moisture, making the room feel cooler without overworking the system.
  • Turbo Mode (Daikin): Perfect for cooling a hot room quickly—use for only 10–15 minutes before switching back to normal.
  • Econo Mode: Reduces electricity usage for long-term operation.
  • Quiet Mode: Lowers fan noise, ideal for creating a peaceful sleeping environment.

Matching BTU to Your Space

In Nichada homes, AC units are sized to ensure maximum comfort across different room layouts. Here is a quick reference:

  • 18,000 BTU: Standard bedrooms (approx. 25–35 sq.m.).
  • 24,000 BTU: Large bedrooms or smaller living areas (35–45 sq.m.).
  • 30,000 BTU: Medium-sized living spaces (45–60 sq.m.).
  • 36,000 BTU: Large open-plan areas (60–75 sq.m.).

Pro-Tips for Better Performance

  • Use Dual Units: In large living areas or open-plan designs like those found in Alexandrite, running both AC units together cools the room faster and more evenly while reducing strain on each machine.
  • Adjust for Night Comfort: If 25°C feels too warm at night as outdoor temperatures drop, try lowering the setting slightly or switching modes for more consistent airflow.
  • Room Factors: Remember that rooms with high ceilings, large windows, or direct sunlight may require more cooling support to maintain comfort.

Returning to Fitness After Songkran.

Took a break? You didn’t lose everything, but how you come back matters.

1. Don’t go all out, just show up
Start at 60–70% intensity. Leave your body wanting more.

2. Stick to what you know
Familiar classes help you ease back in faster.

3. Form first, weight later
Move well before you lift heavy to avoid setbacks.

4. Focus on consistency, not intensity
2–3 sessions per week are enough to rebuild momentum.

5. Finish feeling good
If you still have energy left, you’re doing it right.
