Pet Regulations
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PET OWNERS
Nichada Thani Community Pet Regulations
We have received reports that some dogs have exhibited aggressive behavior and have attacked other dogs and individuals. To help ensure the safety of all residents and pets, we kindly request that owners of aggressive dogs use a muzzle on their pets at all times while in shared areas to prevent any future incidents.
The following regulations must be strictly adhered to:
1.Identification: All domestic pets must wear a collar with the owner’s name and address clearly stated. (For your own protection, we advise including this information in both Thai and English.)
2.Muzzles: Dogs that are known to be aggressive, or have any potential to behave aggressively, must wear a muzzle at all times when outside the home.
3.Vaccinations: All pets must be fully vaccinated and kept up-to-date with all required immunizations.
4.Registration: All dogs must be registered with Nichada Thani Security. Registration forms are available at the guard house or the Security Center. A photo of your dog will be taken and kept on file.
5.Leash Law: All pets must be kept on a leash and physically controlled by a responsible and capable individual at all times when outdoors. Free roaming of pets in public areas is strictly prohibited for their own safety and the safety of others.
6.Cleanliness: Pet owners are required to clean up all animal waste from common and public areas immediately. Owners will be held liable for any failure to do so. Please also ensure your domestic staff are informed of this requirement.
7.Owner Responsibility: Pet owners are fully responsible for their pet’s behavior. Any incidents involving nuisance, injury, or damage caused by a pet will result in the owner being held accountable.
8.Police Intervention: In the event a pet causes nuisance or injury, the police may be called to intervene.
9.Parasite Control: Owners must ensure their pets are free of parasites and are responsible for preventing the spread of pet-borne parasites or insects.
10.Penalties:
- A 500 baht fine will be imposed for failure to comply with the above rules.
- A 5,000 baht fine will apply for serious violations, including allowing pets to defecate in public areas without proper cleanup, walking aggressive dogs without a muzzle, or violating the leash law. This is to cover the costs of cleaning or the detainment of animals, if required.
