Visakha Bucha Day
Visakha Bucha Day, also known internationally as Vesak Day, will be observed this year on Sunday, 31 May 2026, which falls on the full moon day of the sixth lunar month. It is regarded as one of the most important holy days in Buddhism, commemorating three significant events in the life of the Buddha: his birth, enlightenment, and passing into Parinibbana, all believed to have occurred on the same lunar date in different years.
On this special occasion, Buddhists across Thailand traditionally participate in religious activities such as making merit, offering alms to monks, listening to Dhamma teachings, observing the Five Precepts, practicing meditation, and joining evening candlelit processions to honor the Triple Gem. The day also serves as a reminder to reflect on Buddhist teachings, including the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path, and apply them in daily life.

Celebrating H.M. Queen Suthida’s Birthday
On Wednesday, 3 June 2026, Thailand will celebrate the birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana. This important national occasion is observed throughout the country as a public holiday and a time for Thai people to express their loyalty, gratitude, and best wishes to Her Majesty the Queen.
Across Thailand, government offices, businesses, and homes are decorated with purple flags and portraits in honor of Her Majesty, while many people participate in merit-making activities, community service, and ceremonial events to commemorate the occasion.
Her Majesty Queen Suthida has continuously carried out royal duties in support of the Thai people and has contributed to numerous initiatives related to public welfare, healthcare, education, and social development. The celebration of Her Majesty’s birthday also reflects the unity and respect shared by people throughout the Kingdom.
We extend our warmest wishes to Her Majesty Queen Suthida for good health, happiness, and continued prosperity.
Proper Disposal of Animal Excrement
At Nichada Thani, we take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for all residents. As more residents enjoy walking their pets around the community, we would like to kindly remind all pet owners to clean up after their pets in public and shared areas.
Unattended pet waste can create unpleasant odors, attract insects, and affect the cleanliness and comfort of the community. Parks, sidewalks, gardens, and green spaces are shared by everyone and should remain enjoyable for all residents.
We kindly ask pet owners to:
- Carry pet waste bags during walks
- Pick up pet waste immediately
- Dispose of waste properly in designated bins
Please note that failure to clean up after pets may result in a penalty fee in accordance with community regulations.
