Go Green in Nichada: Together Toward a Sustainable Future

At Nichada, we are committed to fostering a safe, secure, and sustainable community. As part of our ongoing Go Green initiative, we would like to encourage all residents to join us in making small yet meaningful changes that can help protect the environment while also benefiting our daily lives.

Save Energy, Save the Planet

Electricity is one of the easiest areas where we can all make a difference. By reducing unnecessary consumption, we not only lower our bills but also reduce our environmental footprint. Here are a few simple practices:

  • Switch off lights and appliances when not in use.
  • Unplug chargers once devices are fully charged to prevent energy leakage.

  • Use energy-efficient appliances and LED bulbs for long-term savings.

  • Set air conditioners to 25°C or higher and clean filters regularly for maximum efficiency.

Small habits, when practiced by many, create a big collective impact.

From Petrol to Electric Golf Carts

Nichada has long been known as a golf cart–friendly community, and we are now encouraging a shift from petrol-powered to electric golf carts. This change brings several benefits:

Cleaner air and quieter roads within the estate.

Lower operating and maintenance costs compared to petrol carts.

Reduced carbon emissions, contributing to a greener future.

If you are considering a new golf cart or replacing your current one, we strongly recommend choosing an electric model. Together, we can transform Nichada into a cleaner, quieter, and more eco-friendly community.

We thank you for your continued support and encourage you to take part in these small but powerful steps toward a green near future.

Humid Weather Alert – Take Extra Care of Your Health!

As the rainy season sets in, we are experiencing higher levels of humidity throughout the day. While the cool breeze and fresh air are refreshing, the damp conditions can pose health risks, especially for:

  • Young children

  • Elderly residents

  • Those with allergies or respiratory conditions

To help you and your family stay healthy, here are a few helpful tips:

Keep Indoor Areas Dry
Use dehumidifiers or air conditioning to control moisture levels in your home. Open windows occasionally to improve ventilation.

Prevent Mold Growth
Regularly clean damp-prone areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and closets. Check for mold in corners and behind furniture.

Avoid Damp Laundry Indoors
Dry clothes in well-ventilated areas. Damp clothes left inside can increase indoor humidity and encourage mold.

Prevent Insects and Pests

Ensure trash is properly sealed, standing water is removed, and doors/windows are screened to reduce the risk of insects that thrive in humid conditions.

Check for Water Leaks

Check your home for leaks in ceilings, around windows, and in plumbing. Be especially mindful of trees that may be touching the roof, as branches could damage tiles and lead to water problems. If you notice any issues, please contact your personal Customer Relations representative for assistance.

Common Diseases During the Rainy Season That Affect Children

We’ve compiled a list of common illnesses that tend to spread during the rainy season. Parents are encouraged to stay vigilant for symptoms such as fever, breathing difficulties, rashes, or persistent vomiting, and to seek medical attention without delay.

Prevention & Care:

Prevention & Care:

  • Promote hydration to prevent dehydration

3. RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) Infection

What it is: A respiratory virus common in infants, especially under 2 years old, that can cause bronchiolitis or pneumonia.

Tip - WHAT IS A WORKOUT

A workout is 25 percent perspiration and 75 percent determination. Put another way, it is one part physical exertion and three parts self discipline. Doing it is easy once you get started. A workout today makes you feel better than you did yesterday. It strengthens the body, relaxes the mind and toughens the spirit. When you workout regularly your problems diminish and your confidence grows. A workout is a personal triumph over laziness and procrastination. It is the badge of a winner, the mark of an organized, goal-orientated person who has taken charge of his or her destiny. A workout is a wise use of time and an investment in excellence. It is a way of preparing for life's challenges and proving to yourself that you have what it takes to do what is necessary. A workout is a key that helps unlock the door to opportunity and success. Hidden within each of us is an extraordinary force. Physical and mental fitness are triggers that can release it. A workout is a form of rebirth. When you finish a good workout you don't simply feel better YOU FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF
