National Highlights - 2026 Bangkok Governor Election Results

The 2026 Bangkok Governor Election concluded with a decisive victory for incumbent Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, who secured a second term after receiving approximately 1.44 million votes, surpassing his record-breaking result from the 2022 election.

Throughout the campaign, key issues included traffic congestion, flood prevention, air pollution, public transportation, and improving the quality of life for Bangkok residents. Governor Chadchart's re-election reflects continued public confidence in his leadership and support for the continuation of his policies and long-term development plans for Bangkok.

The Election Commission is expected to certify the official results following the completion of the vote verification process.

Gentle Care for Your Pets This Rainy Season

As the rainy season continues across Thailand, increased humidity and frequent rainfall may affect the comfort and well-being of pets within the community.

To support their health and maintain a clean and comfortable living environment, we kindly recommend the following care practices:

  • Ensure pets are thoroughly dried after outdoor walks, particularly paws and undercoat areas
  •  Avoid outdoor walks during periods of heavy rainfall or on wet, muddy surfaces
  •  Maintain a dry, well-ventilated resting area at home to reduce moisture accumulation
  •  Regularly observe pets for any signs of skin irritation, excessive scratching, or unusual odor
  •  Continue routine grooming to help maintain coat hygiene and overall comfort during humid conditions

These simple yet important practices help support your pet’s well-being while contributing to a clean and comfortable community environment.

Nichada remains committed to supporting a high standard of living for all residents — including your beloved pets

No Swimming During Thunderstrom

Swimming during heavy rain or thunderstorms is strictly prohibited due to severe safety and health risks. However, if it is only a light drizzle and you must swim, you need to be highly aware of the following hazards:

Crucial Life-Threatening Risks

  • Lightning strikes: Water conducts electricity efficiently. Get out immediately if you see lightning or hear thunder. Wait 30 minutes after the last clap before returning.
  • Reduced visibility: Raindrops create ripples on the water surface. This blurs your underwater vision. You risk colliding with pool walls or other swimmers.

Health and Bodily Risks

  • Muscle cramps: Rain rapidly drops the water temperature. Sudden cold causes muscles to contract. This significantly increases your risk of cramping.
  • Infections: Rain washes airborne dust, dirt, and bacteria into the pool. This leads to eye irritation, skin infections, or stomach bugs if swallowed.
  • Weakened immunity: Staying wet in shifting weather strains your body. It makes you highly susceptible to catching a cold or flu.

Around-the-Pool Accidents

  • Slippery decks: Wet pool surrounds and walkways become exceptionally slick. Walk slowly and always wear non-slip sandals.
